Chicago Longitudinal Study

This study investigates the educational and social development of 1,539 low income children who grew up in high-poverty neighborhoods in Chicago. MORE

 

Perry Preschool Study Through Age 40

This scientific experiment identified both the short- and long-term effects of a high quality preschool education programs for young children living in poverty. MORE

 

Burchinal: Examining the Achievement Gap Among Low-Income Children

Findings suggest that reducing the Black–White achievement gap may require early intervention to reduce race gaps in home and school experiences during the infant and toddler years as well as during the preschool and school years. MORE

 

Adverse Childhood Experiences

This study is one of the largest investigations ever conducted to assess associations between childhood maltreatment and later-life health and well-being. The study is a collaboration between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Kaiser Permanente's Health Appraisal Clinic in San Diego. MORE
