The Learning Community is a unique educational subdivision focused on increasing student achievement, especially for students from families living in poverty. While overall trends are positive in our school districts, we must do a better job of educating the growing number of students who need early intervention to succeed in school.
Together with our community partners, we're combining a common-sense approach and innovative programs to help our kids succeed. The power of the Learning Community comes from sharing proven programs and evidence-based practices to help students in all 11 school districts.
Sharing Locally Proven Success
What works in some parts of the country, may not work here. Our Coordinating Council is working with experts within our community and our member school districts. Through our subcouncils, we carefully evaluate community needs to use our limited resources to get the best results. Our goal is long-term and sustained academic improvement for our students.
