The Learning Community mission is guided by an educator with experience stretching from Texas to Nebraska. David Patton’s diverse background includes multiple leadership roles in both urban and rural school districts.
David’s early years in education took him to Texas where he was a classroom teacher, assistant principal and principal. He returned to the metro area as an Omaha Public Schools administrator with valuable insights into the impact of poverty in education. As a senior administrator for more than ten years, he managed a wide range of responsibility including student services, community relations and information management. Before joining the Learning Community, David served as Superintendent of Twin River Public Schools in Genoa, Nebraska.
