Renee Franklin leads the development of programming designed to challenge the achievement gap at the Learning Community centers of North and South Omaha, as well as school district pilot programs. Renee works closely with community and district partners to ensure Learning Community programs demonstrate proven concepts to improve educational outcomes for children and families in poverty.
Renee brings more than 20 years of expertise in building community capacity for change. She transformed a struggling non-profit into an award-winning organization now known as Kids Can in South Omaha. While executive director, the organization thrived with new programs, funding support and an effective organizational structure. Earlier in her career, Renee served as the Nebraska-Southwest Iowa Muscular Dystrophy Association District Director, a chapter ranking in the top 10 nationwide.
