In Partnership with Omaha Public Schools
Connecting Home & Early Childhood Preschool
Our early childhood partnership schools clustered around the Learning Community Center of North Omaha get stronger every day. Each school offers families top-quality preschool classrooms close to home.
What else makes Early Childhood partnership schools different?
INTENSIVE EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHING TEAMS. Teachers, coaches, special education, and paraprofessionals use data to continuously improve strategies to help children.
INSTRUCTIONAL COACHES FOR EVERY CLASSROOM. Coaches work with teachers to build confidence and skills. Using evaluations to guide continuous improvement means better classrooms for children.
FAMILY SUPPORT & ACCESS TO SERVICES. Family Liaisons help parents gain access to services and resources for early learning. Parent University in the Learning Community Center of North Omaha is one of those benefits. We welcome families from our partnership schools with children six years old and younger.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TOGETHER
Have you heard about Parent University? We’re working with children AND families together. Memberships are open to families living in neighborhoods around most OPS schools in northeast Omaha with at least one child six years old or younger. This includes families with children in Early Childhood Partnership schools. Parent University gives families lots of choices including computers, a family resource center and free parent classes. No two families are alike. That’s why the Parent University team offers personal support. We want every family to reach their goals!
