Nayeli Lopez is originally from Mexico and has lived in Omaha, NE for 22 years. She started her professional career at Omaha Public Schools as a Bilingual Liaison working with parents and students to help them connect to the school system and gain success. She really enjoyed learning about the local public school system and identifying areas of improvement for all families, specifically those interactions between the families and teachers at the school level. This inspired Nayeli to become more engaged in programs that were provided at the Learning Community. She earned a dual Masters in Social Work and Public Administration from UNO to provide an educational foundation for her to continue to assist families with navigating the educational system. She seeks to find greater impact and enhanced programs to ensure better outcomes for those families that live in the Learning Community.
Nayeli is the mother of three beautiful children and the wife of a very supportive husband. She enjoys spending time with them and utilizing the parenting skills that she teaches to families everyday!
