Gerald M. Kuhn, II is the Chief Executive Officer of the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties, where he leads with vision, purpose, and a deep commitment to children and families. In this role, Gerald champions initiatives that advance educational equity, strengthen family engagement, and expand early childhood opportunities so that every child has the chance to thrive.
Known for his compassionate leadership, Gerald brings a powerful combination of strategic direction and heartfelt dedication to the communities he serves. His appointment as CEO was unanimously approved by the Learning Community Coordinating Council in August 2024, affirming the trust and confidence placed in his ability to guide the organization forward.
Gerald’s professional journey includes extensive collaboration with local organizations such as Mosaic, Jesuit Academy, Boy Scouts of America, and the City of Omaha. As an elected representative of Achievement Subcouncil 1, he has partnered with schools, nonprofits, and community leaders to connect resources, empower families, and support student success.
Throughout his career, Gerald has remained focused on building strong, authentic relationships — with students, parents, educators, and civic leaders — to create opportunities where families can grow together.
