Could you share with us your background and what motivated you to become a Coordinating Council member for Achievement Subcouncil 2?

As a Coordinating Council member and parent with children in the school system, my involvement in the community has always been driven by a desire to ensure the best possible education and environment for our kids. I’ve been actively participating in school activities, which has given me a firsthand understanding of the strengths and challenges within our schools. My motivation to become a Sub-council member comes from a deep commitment to advocating for all children and families in our community. I want to ensure that every child has access to the resources and support they need to thrive academically and personally.

How do you see your role as a Subcouncil member making a positive impact on the community?

My impact as a Coordinating Council member, representing Achievement Subcouncil 2 is vital, especially as a lifelong North Omaha resident with deep-rooted ties to the community. I understand our constituents’ unique needs and aspirations because I have lived and experienced them firsthand. My familiarity and notoriety in the community help bridge the gap between the center and the people we serve, making it easier for individuals to learn about and access the opportunities available. By leveraging my connections and understanding of the community, I can advocate effectively for resources and support that directly benefit our schools and families, fostering a stronger, more cohesive community
