Extended Learning

5 School Districts

Extended Learning targets students at-risk for summer “learning loss”. Smaller classes focus on particular academic skills. The end goal is to provide students the opportunity to start the new school year on par, or at least closer to the achievement level of their classmates.

50% of students with a reading component maintained or improved achievement levels. The range for students with a math component was 42-67%.

Jumpstart to Kindergarten

4 School Districts

Jump Start to Kindergarten gives children who have little or no familiarity with a school classroom valuable experience. Students improve school readiness by learning important concepts for the start of the school year. Parents surveyed give the classes high ratings.

4 School Districts

Instructional Coaching has become a priority pilot program since its introduction in 2012. Results vary by district but reflect the value of the teacher-coach relationship.
